THE STORY OF IKAT
IKAT Cacao was born from the vision of our founder, Septhania Tiwu, who grew up in a cacao-growing family on the beautiful island of Flores, witnessing the challenges and the lack of fair market access firsthand.
At IKAT Cacao, we therefore decided to do things differently. ​We work closely with small family farms and the local communities, ensuring fair prices and trade practices. Next to financial means, we provide resources and support needed to succeed such as agricultural hardware or microloans.

​Another cornerstone of IKAT Cacao are sustainable and regenerative farming practices. By integrating cacao trees with other plants like vanilla, and fruit trees, we maintain a diverse ecosystem that supports wildlife and enhances soil fertility.
